Lounge of the Flamingo

Lounge of the Flamingo is the collaborative creation of Australian songwriter/producer Paris Wells and long-time musical partner Mauritian born musician/producer Finley François, the album is a lush Australiana, Latin-inspired lounge masterpiece.
Recorded live at Frying Pan Studios, housed within the iconic MONA Gallery in Tasmania, the nostalgia in this album creates a coziness beyond clouds. Drawing subtle influences from Nouvelle Vague, Astrud Gilberto, and Cesária Évora, the project highlights Wells’ & Francois’ versatility, refined artistry and a 20yo working partnership.
Locally made jazz taking a new twist, shaken and stirred, featuring lyrics that link to life and themes of Australiana, layered upon rhythms that celebrate the multi-cultural lounge that modern-day Australia has become.
