Sustaining The Sound - Investing in the Future of Wangaratta Jazz and Blues
One year ago, the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues was at risk of disappearing forever. After more than 30 years as a cornerstone of Australia’s jazz and blues scene, financial pressures and uncertainty nearly brought it to an end.
Then, you - our community, our donors, and our supporters - stepped up.
Your generosity helped resurrect and revitalize the festival in 2024, proving that jazz and blues still have a home in Wangaratta.
Now, we must ensure the festival’s long-term future.
The Sustaining the Sound is a three-year, $300,000 fundraising campaign dedicated to:
🎶 Securing the future of jazz & blues – Strengthening the National Jazz Award and expanding early-career opportunities.
🎶 Strengthening our independence – Ensuring we thrive without relying solely on grants.
🎶 Building long-term sustainability – Funding artist fees, production, and festival operations.
🎶 Expanding community access – Supporting free community concerts and education programs.
